Ellesborough Recreational Ground (Playing Fields)are located behind Royal Mead, adjacent to 100 Chalkshire Road, Butlers Cross, HP17 0TJ and just behind the allotments.

There is a track to the left hand side of Royal Mead leading down to the playing fields with a gated entrance and beyond a matted surface area down the left hand side for vehicles to park on. Risborough Rangers Football Club enjoy weekly football fixtures on Sunday mornings and occasionally have practise sessions on Saturday mornings.

There is a basketball goal and a picnic table to sit at and enjoy the beautiful countryside with views of Coombe Hill in the distance. Many local people exercise their dogs in the playing fields and a poo bin is provided as well as a litter bin for general waste. Did you know that if you run round the playing field four times you have run just over a mile?

On Sunday 5th June 2022 Ellesborough Recreational Ground was the venue for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.

Ellesborough Parish Council planted a mix of bee-friendly trees to commemorate this special event.
